This experiment is aimed at the principles of controlling the stepper motor using programmable microcontrollers Picaxe. Experiment allows the stepper motor to drive in both directions and continuously vary speed. For switching enough voltage to the coils of the engine element we use an output pin microcontroller. The power element in this experiment represents an ULN2803 integrated circuit. ULN2803 integrated circuit is mounted on the module on which the pins are connected in parallel to increase switching current to 1A. It takes care of supplying sufficient energy for the engine.
In the stepper motor the great advantage is the possibility of counting steps. Thanks to the knowledge of the size of the rotation of the motor shaft we can calculate the output shaft position. It is also necessary to start counting from a reference point.
